Job Summary
Respond and attend to guest repair requests, communicating with customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and buildings while maintaining inventory and requisitioning parts. Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on MEP systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and guestroom items, including pump and motor replacement. Program TVs, assist with surface preparation and painting, and ensure all work follows Lockout/Tagout safety protocols. Use engineering computer programs for preventative maintenance and energy management. Train and mentor other engineers, perform Engineer on Duty readings and rounds, and report safety hazards or accidents.
Required Qualifications
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Must meet applicable state and federal certification and/or licensing requirements
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and vocational or technical background
- Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
- Valid Driver's License
