Job Summary
The Engineer II: Utilities & HVAC is the site SME for GMP Utility systems (WFI, Clean Steam, Process Compressed Air, and Nitrogen) and HVAC at a new pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Petersburg, VA. Responsible for reliable, cost-effective operation and qualification of GMP Utilities and related systems; drive continuous improvement and capital projects; develop documentation (URs, specifications, test cases) and lead/participate in design, verification (IV/OV/PQ), and commissioning activities; monitor KPIs, provide operating instructions, enable efficient maintenance and reliability techniques, perform RCA-led problem solving, support inspections and cross-functional collaboration, and communicate with site customers. Educational requirement is a Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant sciences with 6+ years of GMP Utilities experience; startup experience is preferred and advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
