Job Summary
Engineer II responsible for the upgrade, rebuild, installation and start-up of process equipment; analyze key process measures and report results to management; participate in developing new equipment specifications; support implementation of equipment safety solutions; provide technical assistance and act as an interface on process, product, and maintenance problems; collaborate with outside resources including contractors, equipment vendors, and supply vendors; contribute to standards, specifications, and procedures for production, technical, safety, and environmental activities; utilize Permac to order parts; participate in defining equipment engineered rates and review of new process equipment; participate in implementing moderate-sized capital projects and contribute to OEE improvement initiatives; perform other duties and special projects as assigned; Carpenter Technology emphasizes equal opportunity and provides a comprehensive benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year college degree in Engineering preferred
- Two-year college degree and/or three or more years engineering support experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks with moderate supervision
