Job Summary
Engineer I–V (Instrument and Control) at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, NE. Supports station operations by reviewing operational data, providing technical assistance to staff, and contributing to safe, reliable I&C performance. Performs trending, evaluation, and application of standard engineering techniques; develops I&C design requirements, calculations, drawings, bills of materials, and acceptance test criteria; prepares Engineering Changes to support plant modifications and maintain configuration control. Conducts trending/analysis of I&C system and component performance to support equipment reliability and maintenance planning. Participates in Cyber Security digital evaluations to maintain regulatory compliance and collaborates with personnel at all levels. Travel up to 25% (typically within Nebraska). Education: BS in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from ABET program or PE license. Skills: troubleshooting, cost estimating, scheduling, technical writing, MS Office, communication, teamwork, safety, regulatory compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering from an ABET‐accredited program, or a Professional Engineering License
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word)
- Ability to perform basic cost estimating and scheduling
- Technical writing and applied mathematics skills
