Job Summary
Develop analysis plans, review research reports, and interpret analytical information for the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) team at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Manage simultaneous tasks while gathering, classifying, and aggregating data on evolving vehicle safety technologies using various databases and spreadsheet software. Present findings and draft technical reports with high attention to detail in a fast-paced environment requiring Public Trust security clearance. The role supports modern motor vehicle safety capabilities through rigorous data analysis and technical communication.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level
- A minimum of three (3) years US residency, or US Citizenship, is required for a Public Trust clearance at this location
Desired Qualifications
- B.S. degree preferred
- Two (2+) years of experience
- High skill levels in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive, and Slides)
- Experience developing presentations and writing technical reports
- Experience with vehicle crashworthiness and restraint systems, vehicle full-scale crash testing, component level testing, New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) test procedures, and related data analysis
- Experience with vehicle crash avoidance systems
