Job Summary
Support engineers and project managers with design development, calculations, documentation, and production tasks under close supervision. Perform bridge design and structural analysis, including load rating in accordance with applicable standards. Prepare bridge plans, drawings, and annotations using AutoCAD or MicroStation, and conduct field evaluations for bridge condition inspections. Participate in team meetings, track tasks, and communicate progress to internal members. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gain exposure to integrated project delivery. This entry-level role in Fort Lauderdale, FL, offers foundational professional development within a collaborative engineering environment. Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field and be an EIT or intent to obtain certification within six months.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field
- 0–4 years of relevant experience
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or intent to obtain within six months if necessary
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD and Microstation
- Solid understanding of relevant design manuals, standards, and specifications (e.g., AASHTO LRFD, AISC, PCI)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively on multidisciplinary project teams
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Familiarity with structural analysis tools such as AASHTOWare and RC-Pier
- Experience with finite element software (e.g., MIDAS)
