Job Summary
Engineer I, Projects is responsible for completing projects per customer specifications within schedule and budget; mentors Level 1 Project Engineers and coordinates activities of contractors, vendors, and customers. Develops and maintains CAD drawings; prepares product specifications, scope of work, and repair instructions; reviews design specifications and test requirements for technical accuracy and cost efficiency; seeks process improvements and new materials/processes; generates sales orders for quotes and revisions; creates ABOMs; participates in product/process reviews; supports manufacturing operations and on-call rotation; interfaces with customer engineers, mill roll representatives, and sales personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum of three years of engineering experience
- Proficiency in CAD/drafting
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
