Engineer I - Onsite Only

Job Summary
Engineer I is responsible for the design, development and analysis of hydraulic products, including generating working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstrations; performing engineering calculations; developing testing processes and validating new designs; providing technical assistance to Sales and coordinating with Operations on Engineering Change Requests; acting as a liaison across functions to ensure timely release of new or modified products; updating engineering specifications and standards; overseeing Designers to ensure compliance with customer, manufacturing, and safety standards; performing cost analysis; handling customer relations and field support as needed; and participating in cross-functional lean initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist within one year of employment
- In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software
- Professional work experience reviewing and analyzing prototypes and product modifications
- Extensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Advanced understanding of business analysis techniques and processes
- Understanding of current cutting tool technology
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Project development and leadership skills are essential
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively
- Knowledge in stress and analysis
- Familiar with various machining processes
- Working knowledge of hydraulics
- Good computer skills
- Emphasis on Mechanics of Materials, Stress & Strain Analysis and Carbon Steel Manufacturing properties
