Job Summary
Engineer I responsible for guest repair requests and routine maintenance of hotel systems and equipment. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, inspects and tests electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and controls, handles basic repairs (painting, drywall, fixtures, lighting), manages inventory and parts, and communicates daily activities and issues to shifts. Requires basic knowledge across air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and related systems; uses Lockout/Tagout for safety; physical tasks include lifting up to 50 pounds and climbing stairs. Must follow safety policies, assist guests, support team goals, and maintain professional conduct. Education: HS diploma or GED; Driver’s License; some maintenance/painting experience; hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Driver’s License
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
