Job Summary
Engineer I-III to provide 3D modeling, drafting, testing, and technical support for Navy HM&E systems. Responsibilities include 3D modeling graphics, creating mechanical drawings and 3D prints with COTS tools, supporting installation, testing, and maintenance of HM&E systems and equipment, equipment qualification testing (EQT), engineering surveys and drawing reviews, support for ship modernization and obsolescence programs, and development of test procedures and reports. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, experience with Navy Ship Steam and Auxiliary systems, proficiency in drafting and 3D modeling, ability to read installation drawings and NAVSEA standards, ability to troubleshoot mechanical/electrical systems, and the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance. Travel may be required; US citizenship is required for most positions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (Engineer I); Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline (Engineer II/III)
- 1+ years (Engineer I) OR 3 years (Engineer II) OR 10 years including 7 years Navy Ship Steam and Auxiliary systems experience (Engineer III)
- proficiency in engineering drafting and 3D modeling tools
- strong understanding of Navy ship systems (Steam Systems, Fluid Systems, pumps, heat exchangers, AC/R)
- ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems
- ability to read ship installation drawings and NAVSEA standards
- SECRET clearance or ability to obtain
- US citizenship required for most positions
- travel may be required
