Job Summary
Lead and support day-to-day operations of process control systems; design, review, and implement process control systems; oversee contractor installations and coordinate projects; identify and procure equipment for maintenance and improvement; collaborate to develop company standards and industry best practices; responsibilities vary by level (Engineer I: provide support, maintenance, and assist design; Engineer II: lead design/implementation, oversee contractor work, manage scoping and bidding); required skills include PLCs, HMIs, IP networking, and experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs; position involves some field work and travel to facilities outside the Phoenix area.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Engineering, Industrial Automation, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree required
- Requires basic understanding of programming and configuration of PLCs and HMIs
- Requires intermediate computer knowledge including IP networking, SQL databases, Windows Server and Domain management, or command line applications such as Telnet
- Requires a basic understanding of electrical systems including ability to read electrical schematics and use a multimeter
- Two (2+) years of experience in programming, Ethernet networking, industrial maintenance, or electrical engineering
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware HMIs preferred
- Some experience providing field support to internal or external customers preferred
- Experience with data communication networks such as Ethernet/IP or radio telemetry is a plus
- Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Occasional travel is required to facilities outside the Phoenix-metro area
