Job Summary
Engineer I- Grid Operations at Alliant Energy responsible for identifying grid reliability needs by combining data and engineering analysis with field observations; lead design work for protection schemes, reliability improvements, and modernization, then stay involved through construction and operation; perform basic power system studies, system protection settings coordination, and SCADA programming; collaborate across teams, communicate with stakeholders and contractors; develop simple scopes of work with cost estimates; support field personnel during disturbances; uphold safety and regulatory standards; leverage knowledge of electrical engineering, data analysis, and project management to deliver cost-effective, technically sound solutions that improve grid reliability and resiliency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited)
