Job Summary
Install and commission new UPS systems, including transfer switches and power distribution units, while conducting site surveys to evaluate customer power requirements. Perform routine maintenance, diagnose faults, and replace components such as capacitors and batteries across AC/DC power systems and various battery types. Troubleshoot technical issues using diagnostic tools, draft service reports, and provide remote support or corrective attendance during critical failures. Collaborate with team members to manage project timelines and develop upgrade plans tailored to client needs.
Required Qualifications
- Qualification in diploma / degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
- 5-7 years' experience in UPS services & Computer related discipline
- Good email communications and literacy/report writing skills
- Able to read and provide Single Line Diagram
- Adhering to safety regulations and procedures when working with electrical equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Expert Knowledge in UPS systems in a data center or similar environment
- Experience in 3 phases UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
- A strong understanding of electrical and electronic systems, including power distribution, automatic Transfer Switch, PDU, SKRU and related components
- Strong, demonstrable troubleshooting/fault-diagnostics skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and support
- Familiarity with Energy Management / Automation Systems
- Knowledge and understanding in reading Electrical One Line Schematics
- Be efficiently organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
