Job Summary
Design new and low voltage electrical enclosures and create harness schematics, 3D models, and wire harnesses for HDLC units including In-row and In-rack CDUs. Apply NEC, CSA/UL, and IEEE standards to select components, perform engineering calculations, and audit panel layouts and network drawings. Collaborate with manufacturing, controls, procurement, and product teams on design reviews, cost metrics, and customer pain points while solving complex problems without precedence. Execute project schedules, debug validation processes, and support manufacturing test procedures. Work 10% time travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related degree from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of experience in hardware development roles
- More than 5 years of expertise with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or product documentation management systems
- Demonstrated proficiency in drafting functional requirements and preparing design documentation
- Skilled in using Creo Schematics or equivalent schematic capture software
- Hands-on experience operating DMMs, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic instruments
- Capable of executing project schedules throughout hardware board development lifecycles
- Adept at debugging, validation, and supporting manufacturing test processes
- Proven ability in designing for testability and manufacturability
- Strong communication and interpersonal collaboration skills
- Reliable team members exhibit a consistently positive attitude and creativity
- Able to work in multicultural environments
- 10% travel
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with CREO Cabling module is preferred
