Engineer I

Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities and problems using approved communication programs. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties, and execute landscaping repairs. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing maintenance work. Display basic computer skills for inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes. Adhere to safety policies, report hazards, and ensure professional appearance while welcoming and assisting guests.
