Engineer I, Assembly Process

Engineerin I will participate in supporting the optimization of sustainable cell process technology. They will develop foundational technical knowledge of the manufacturing process and equipment while contributing to quality assurance, process down (PD) improvement through recipe setting, specification alignment, process capability management and defect improvement. Responsibilities include: supporting process parameter setting and defect improvement on the battery assembly line; assisting with assembly parameter optimization via data-driven experimentation and DOE; maintaining PFMEA, PFD, and CP documentation; aiding in new model introduction and 4M change verification; supporting testing/evaluation of new cell processes and equipment; participating in internal and customer audits and driving timely root cause analysis and corrective actions; cross-functional collaboration to troubleshoot yield/quality issues; improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and yield; contributing to SOP creation and operator training; analyzing cell defect data; creating data visualizations and presenting findings to leadership; ensuring compliance with health/safety/environmental/fire regulations; performing other duties as assigned.
