Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and perform repairs on assigned HVAC equipment and controls, including chilled water systems, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and various mechanical, electrical, and building systems. Execute preventative maintenance work, proactively identify issues, fulfill work orders, and actively problem-solve to ensure optimal performance and a safe working environment. Identify potential issues during shift rounds, develop corrective actions, and work with little or no direct supervision. Requires a valid California Driver's License, five to seven years of hospital or commercial HVAC experience, and EPA Clean Air Section 608 certification. Full-time night shift position within PIH Health's healthcare network.
Required Qualifications
- HVAC control systems service and repair experience
- Experience in servicing and maintaining of a wide variety of HVAC Control systems and air systems
- Honest, reliable, dependable, and ability to meet the demands of the work environment
- Good critical thinking skills, accurate data collection, ability to work with little or no direct supervision
- Ability to identify potential issues during shift rounds, develop corrective actions, and solutions oriented
- High School Diploma
- Demonstrate competence in HVAC repair and maintenance
- Requires a valid California Driver's License and automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a Hospital environment
- HVAC Technician Certification EPA Clean Air Section 608
- Building Automation Control System experience
- Boiler Operator experience
- Five (5) to seven (7) years' experience with Hospital/commercial HVAC equipment and systems
