Engineer (Hotel Maintenance)

Job Summary
Conduct preventative and repair maintenance to ensure the hotel meets quality and sustainability standards while treating guests warmly. Perform room inspections, install or repair sheetrock and wall coverings, paint designated areas, and replace electrical fixtures. Repair furniture, install televisions, and perform minor plumbing functions. Troubleshoot kitchen equipment, replace heating and cooling pumps, and trace water lines. Maintain repair and preventive maintenance records while complying with local, state, and federal codes. Work as a bell attendant during staffing shortages or peak periods. Follow Service Recovery Guidelines and practice safe work habits. Requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending. Schedule varies and may include holidays and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous engineer/maintenance experience
- equivalent training
- High School diploma
- Trade school course work in related field
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
