Job Summary
Perform highly skilled maintenance and repair for the property, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing tasks. Install, adjust, modify, and repair building systems while identifying faults and implementing preventative methods. Replace parts, authorize purchases, and test safety systems like emergency lighting. Report malfunctioning external signs to security and ensure compliance with Fire, Health & Safety, and Electricity regulations. Follow up on all alarms immediately to determine location, cause, and emergency status. Maintain regular attendance, adhere to the annual budget, and assist with preventive maintenance programs and periodic safety inspections. Ensure rooms and property remain in the best possible condition with prompt handling of maintenance requests.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Hold a degree qualification with at least one year's work experience
- Must have good communication and customer service skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read and speak English/Spanish
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests and supervisors
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to compute rates, ratio, and percent
- Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Demonstrated engineering skills
- Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
- Refrigeration skills
- Electrical skills
- Plumbing skills
- Boiler operation and maintenance skills
- Water treatment operation knowledge
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must be able to sit or stand as needed for an extended period of time
- Must be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist
- Must be able to lift as required
- Must use proper lifting techniques
- Must be able to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Must be able to exert 50 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to exert up to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Must be able to work in manufacturing areas with personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection
