Job Summary
Engineer responsible for upkeep, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of ice machines, refrigeration units, and air handling units, as well as other general maintenance, in accordance with the standards of Shaner Hotels and the respective franchises. Requires a strong background in commercial refrigeration and knowledge of ice machines, industrial chiller systems, and air handling units. Customer service oriented with a focus on exceptional guest experience. Full-time position with evening, weekend, and holiday hours; duties include handling guest complaints, maintaining quality and cleanliness standards, following safety procedures, assisting with inventories, and adhering to maintenance and cleaning schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience preferably in a hotel
- Knowledge of mechanical equipment critical to operation of the building
- Proper chemical handling and disposal
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
