Job Summary
Hardware Engineer (Level 2) responsible for designing, developing, and implementing testing methods and equipment for RF and digital hardware; troubleshoot and support RF and digital hardware; support First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY) and hardware deliveries; analyze test data; compile data and define changes to testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements; collaborate with design engineering to implement hardware improvements; monitor product yields and maintain program yield targets; provide support to technicians through troubleshooting and training; participate in program meetings to report yield issues and corrective actions; occasional travel up to 25% and potential telework days as approved by management; located in San Diego, CA with on-site responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 2+ years of relevant experience; or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field plus 0 years of experience
- Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics and block diagrams
- Experience with RF test equipment such as oscilloscope, power meter, spectrum analyzer, and signal generators
- Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical/electro-mechanical hardware
- Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated product team
