Job Summary
Engineer - Geotechnical role in Abu Dhabi, UAE focusing on design, analysis, and implementation of geotechnical solutions. Responsibilities include conducting site investigations, soil sampling, geotechnical testing, performing calculations and modeling to support foundation design and slope stability, developing detailed geotechnical reports and specifications, coordinating with civil/structural teams, using CAD and geotechnical analysis tools (AutoCAD, PLAXIS, GeoStudio), supervising field activities, and preparing cost estimates and schedules. Requires a Bachelor of Engineering in Geotechnical/Civil/Structural Engineering (or closely related field); proficiency in AutoCAD and geotechnical software; strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills; knowledge of UAE building codes (preferred) and willingness to collaborate across disciplines. PE licensure is preferred; on Day 1, onboarding is in-person at an AECOM office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or closely related field
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD
- Familiarity with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
