Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance across Pelham House Resort, Pelham on Earle, Pelham on Main, and Pelham on the Rise, including inspecting grounds, buildings, furniture, and equipment for repairs. Respond to guest requests for tasks ranging from changing light bulbs to fixing faucets, while managing complex projects like HVAC units, plumbing, and minor electrical work. Perform daily rounds documenting reviewed areas, maintain pools and landscape appearance, and execute painting projects or structural repairs. Check and repair electrical systems, refrigeration controls, and lighting, alongside minor HVAC and fixture fixes. Ensure hotel safety by responding to alarms and emergencies, turning in complete daily notifications of work performed, and maintaining effective communication with all departments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 80 pounds
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
- Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift (range from 8-12 hours)
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age to apply
- Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold
- Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 - 2 years of experience in a resort setting preferred
