Job Summary
Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment, cabins, pads, and tools, including laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and guest rooms. Perform minor repairs, painting, wiring, and furniture fabrication while maintaining shop logs and inventory. Respond to emergency situations such as fire alarms, power failures, and disasters, and coordinate services with Mission Control and Cabin Crew to ensure guest satisfaction. Diagnose malfunctions by inspecting machinery, listening for unusual sounds, and interpreting MEP blueprints and wiring diagrams. Notify management immediately of major repairs or unsafe conditions and execute other assigned tasks by the Director of Facilities or General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum of 3 years trade related experience and/or training in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and building maintenance
- Hands on knowledge of building mechanical systems and controls, energy management and building maintenance skills
- Basic knowledge of painting, drywall, HVAC and plumbing
- General knowledge of machines and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to communicate well with guests and staff
- Ability to add and subtract multiply and divide
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance
- Upper body strength to lift 50lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift
- Leg strength and ability to crawl into and through small spaces
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to support and carry loads of 50lbs

- Ability to properly operate hand tools
Desired Qualifications
