Job Summary
Lead embedded software development projects for DC power systems in telecommunications and data centers, designing control functions, drivers, and user interfaces on Linux or real-time operating systems using C/C++. Coordinate with international design teams, define project schedules, and produce detailed software design documents. Conduct peer and code reviews to ensure robust, reliable code while identifying issues like race conditions. Apply knowledge of RS-485, Modbus, CANOpen, and Ethernet protocols to drive application development and driver interfacing. Own the project lifecycle and recommend strategies to improve software quality.
Required Qualifications
- Computer Science or Electronics Engineering degree
- 4-7 years of experience in embedded software development in Linux environment
- C & C++ experience
- Real-time operating system experience
- Application development & driver interfacing with RS-485 and communications Modbus, CANOpen, Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol
- Ability to develop readable, robust, reliable, well-structured code
- Ability to review code for readability, and robust/reliable operation in an embedded system
- Ability to identify and correct embedded software problems like race conditions and re-entrancy issues
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English
- Good Interpersonal skills & Strong Team Player
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with OpenBMC & Redfish APIs
- Experience with CGI, Json, HTML, Ajax, jQuery
- Power domain experience
- Web/CGI application background
- CMMI Process Knowledge
