Job Summary
Complete assigned work orders for general repair within time frames to ensure hotel operational efficiency, safety, and equipment upkeep. Perform systematic checks and inspections to prevent malfunctions, while immediately responding to guest maintenance requests and resolving room issues. Execute repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, locks, and electronic equipment, including adjusting thermostats and replacing fixtures. Maintain tools and workspaces to ensure safety, and assist the department with emergency procedures and contractor oversight. Perform daily AM/PM checklists and adapt to shifting schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures using hand and power tools.
Required Qualifications
- Schedule will be working two days per week from 2:30pm - 11:00pm and three days 9:00am - 5:30pm.
- Working knowledge of all maintenance trades, including building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, painting, and carpentry.
- Clean, valid driver's license required.
- Experience with overseeing and communicating with contractors and gathering estimates.
- Must be able to abide by the company's appearance standards and comply with the designated uniform.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must be able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
- Occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally required to push and/or pull 100+ pounds and lift up to 100 pounds with assistance.
