Job Summary
Embedded QA Engineer at Eaton India Innovation Center in Pune. Defines test strategy, creates test plans, scripts, and data for validating embedded software/firmware and demand-response solutions in power distribution. Builds scalable test automation suites within CI/CD, executes black/gray/white box tests, and uses Python (with Shell/C++ as needed) to develop automated tests. Collaborates on requirements, architecture, and design reviews; drives improvements in tooling and test methodologies; supports customer product releases. Requires a Bachelor’s in CS/EE; 4+ years in embedded testing and software/test/tool development; experience with Python, Linux/RTOS, RESTful APIs, automation frameworks (Pytest/Robot), networking protocols, Agile SCRUM, and CI/CD.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution (required)
- 4+ years of experience in Embedded device testing
- 4+ years of experience in Software development & Test or Test tool development
- 2+ years of Python or scripting (Shell, etc.)
- Experience with Linux/RTOS and Windows
- Experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest and Robot Framework
- Experience with API testing
- Experience in Agile SCRUM
- Strong communication and debugging skills
- Knowledge of CI/CD (GitHub and Azure DevOps)
