Job Summary
Engineer – Electrician responsible for installation and maintenance of all electrical systems at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas, with duties including troubleshooting, interface with contractors and vendors, bid review and specification creation, scheduling of repairs and preventative maintenance, and adherence to safety procedures. Requires knowledge of electrical codes and NEC, ability to read blueprints, experience in the electrical industry, and the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Must possess or be able to obtain Nevada driver’s license and related certifications, with 5 years of electrical experience and preferred Journeyman Electrician or Nevada Electrical Qualified Person.
Required Qualifications
- 21 years of age.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Driver’s License and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 5 years’ experience working in the electrical industry.
- Preferred Journeyman Electrician or Nevada Electrical Qualified Person.
- Knowledge of all electrical systems, low and high voltage; familiarity with all NEC series.
- Knowledge in electrical and appliances.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications and owner’s manual.
- Experience in 4160 volt is preferred.
- Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods.
- Must have basic hand tools and insulated tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
