Job Summary

Develop and document manufacturing processes to ensure consistent, efficient production while identifying opportunities to reduce scrap and increase reliability. Maintain an active presence on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot machining issues, assist operators with tooling challenges, and monitor performance metrics for process stability. Support new product introductions by validating production methods and ensuring smooth transitions from design to manufacturing. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements in machining operations, fixturing, and workholding, ensuring all processes meet internal quality standards and customer requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Equivalent experience in CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, or process development
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of machining processes
  • Understanding of production operations
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information, process instructions, and operational expectations to employees across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to clearly document procedures
  • Ability to explain manufacturing processes to production teams
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to machining operations
  • Ability to perform measurement conversions
  • Ability to analyze tolerances
  • Ability to analyze feeds and speeds
  • Ability to perform process capability analysis
  • Ability to analyze operational data
  • Ability to analyze process performance metrics
  • Ability to identify manufacturing problems
  • Ability to analyze root causes
  • Ability to implement effective solutions
  • Ability to evaluate multiple variables in a production environment
  • Ability to apply sound judgment to support efficient and reliable manufacturing processes

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of machining processes and production operations is highly desirable
