Job Summary
Dynamic Systems Modeling (DSM) Engineer for the Construction & Forestry Division in Dubuque, IA. Provide modeling support to a single product line and assist other lines; lead development of physics-based simulation models to support virtual full-vehicle performance testing and product design decisions; collaborate with design teams to define continuous improvement opportunities, expand virtual test capability, and correlate simulations with physical test results; develop an understanding of product function, customer application, and machine operation; collaborate with DSM analysts to integrate and improve library toolsets, workflows, and processes; emphasize early design integration and deliver high-fidelity virtual models at the right time. VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Education and experience in engineering, MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape, and earthmoving product knowledge are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
- Engineering experience from a full-time position, advanced degree program, co-op(s), and/or internships
- Fundamental understanding of physical systems and mathematics
- Basic understanding of control theory, hydraulics, powertrain, and/or structural linkages
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- General understanding of earthmoving products and applications
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape is a plus
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
