Job Summary
Lead and execute bridge and waterfront inspections in accordance with NBIS standards and client requirements; provide technical leadership for multidisciplinary teams; plan inspections including field logistics and dive operations; evaluate structural conditions and develop repair/replacement recommendations; review and finalize inspection reports; perform engineering calculations related to structural assessment and load ratings; mentor engineers, inspectors, and dive personnel; coordinate with project managers on schedule and budget; uphold safety culture and Safe Diving Practices; represent WSP in client meetings and project discussions.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- 7+ years of experience in bridge and/or waterfront inspection
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in PA, NY, and NJ (or ability to obtain within six months)
- NBIS Team Leader certification
- NBIS Underwater Bridge Inspector
- ADCI-certified Commercial Diver
- ADCI-approved Dive Physical completed within the past 12 months
- Demonstrated experience leading field teams and performing work with limited supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, and substance policies
- Physically capable of performing demanding field work
- Valid Driver’s License
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
