Job Summary
Engineer in Distribution Engineering on a hybrid schedule responsible for the strategic development, expansion, planning, design, maintenance and operation of distribution systems and equipment to provide reliable service. Works on projects both in the office and in the field across Western Massachusetts, with emphasis on engineering/design of infrastructure, analysis of system failures, and modernization initiatives supporting renewable energy integration. Prepares technical reports and sketches, conducts studies, coordinates with other departments, and travels to MA/CT/NH as needed; must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3-5 years of related experience. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required by emergencies or business needs; visa sponsorship is not offered.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 3-5 years related experience
- Working knowledge of utility power systems preferred
- Ability to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary
- Valid driver’s license
- Hybrid work schedule eligibility as determined by job responsibilities and operational needs
