Job Summary
Respond and attend to guest repair requests while communicating with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall repair, and landscaping work. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping duties, and input air handler schedules on computers. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance and adhere to all safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in air conditioning and refrigeration
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in electrical
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in mechanical
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in plumbing
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in pneumatic/electronic systems and controls
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in carpentry and finish skills
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in kitchen equipment
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in vehicles
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in energy conservation
- basic knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in general building
- basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
- Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to enter and locate work-related information using computers
- Must be able to speak with others using clear and professional language
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
