Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts. Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs, perform general housekeeping, and complete surface preparation, painting, and minor drywall repairs. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work and adhere to all safety policies. Full-time, non-management role. High school diploma or G.E.D. required; driver's license required. Some general maintenance experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
- Must be able to perform heavier lifting or movement tasks with assistance
- Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to enter and locate work-related information using computers
- Must be able to use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance a plus
