Job Summary
Design, develop, integrate, and test embedded software for Command and Control subsystems while performing peer design and code reviews within an agile team. Conduct systems analysis to determine operational feasibility, evaluate requirements, and document solutions using flowcharts and diagrams. Provide technical expertise to oversee tactical communications and cryptographic hardware design, ensuring compliance with NSA protocols and COMSEC standards. Serve as a key voice for the Mission Systems Branch, offering technical advice on software effects on integrated computer architectures and ensuring seamless data transmission. Execute scripting tasks for software builds and deployment, perform quality assurance, and actively participate in Open Systems Architecture reviews. This part-time, project-based role requires up to 25 hours per week and supports the Presidential and Executive Airlift Directorate. TS/SCI clearance is required to start.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years relevant experience with Bachelor's in related field
- 13 years relevant experience with Master's in related field
- 10 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
- High School Diploma or equivalent and 19 years relevant experience
- Program acquisition experience in relevant command and control DoD systems
- Experience designing, building, implementing, and testing Open Systems Architecture (OSA) systems
- Deep knowledge of Digital Aeronautical Flight Information File (DAFIF) format
- Deep knowledge of ARINC 424 navigational database format
- Knowledge of how aeronautical data translates into aircraft flight paths
- Excellent written and verbal communication on highly technical topics
- Demonstrated critical thinking
- Ability to review technical documentation
- Proactive team collaboration
- TS/SCI clearance
