Job Summary
Represent commercialization in all early product-development review meetings for footwear in partnership with VF nominated Asia Product teams; ensure viability of development samples to commercialization requirements by coordinating with brand and vendor development, engineering, and production teams on pattern, fit, materials, and assembly; verify laboratory testing and ensure product performance; lead and track extreme fit trial schedules by brand-approved teams and report progress to cross-functional stakeholders; manage timelines to BR and T4 readiness; collaborate with VF’s mold tooling team to align tooling timelines with planning guidance and with VF’s costing team to validate sample and production patterns against yield; required strengths include footwear knowledge, LEAN manufacturing, automation, patterning, and communication of technical feedback to accelerate troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of related experience in manufacturing or technical or production environments for fashion/retail/consumer-facing multinational organizations
- Degree holder in Textiles, Eq./Apparel/Footwear related fields
- Knowledge of footwear technical constructions, laboratory testing, material performance, fit and wear, LEAN production, automation and speed development
- Ability to breakdown complex engineering situations and communicate feedback effectively (verbal/written)
- Strong understanding of paper patterns creation and digital product creation is advantageous
- Excellent English; Mandarin a plus
