Engineer: Cloud and Infrastructure Architecture

Job Summary
Design and implement cloud-based and future solutions while managing cloud and on-premise infrastructure services. Ensure efficient data storage, processing, and security functions, and troubleshoot incidents to identify root causes and fix problems. Optimize cloud resources to balance performance with costs and assess current technologies for cloud transformation. Educate teams on new cloud initiatives, develop modular cloud systems, and work with vendors to benchmark infrastructure solutions. Act as an escalation point for IT Operations on technical issues and ensure all systems adhere to business continuity guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Private cloud datacentre, including VMware, Cisco UCS, Dell EMC
- Private cloud networking, including Cisco ACI, F5 load balancing, Palo Alto firewall, SDWAN
- Knowledge of Information Security best practices
- Experience automating into public cloud providers
- Assessing cloud environments for drift and misconfiguration and remediation workflows implementation via automation
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Azure Migrate
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
- Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
- Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working to Agile methodologies
- High level of discretion, comfortable handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality
- Willingness to challenge the status quo
- May require travel to other offices as needed
