Job Summary

Own steampath bucket/blade component design in execution of NPI, ITR, and factory/field support activities for new unit and aftermarket services customer orders. Drive technology advancements from overall system, sub-system, and component vantage points while leading engineering discussions to ensure designs are robust and meet all customer requirements. Follow rigorous NPI and software development tollgate processes from conceptual design through final validation across the full spectrum of Gas Power turbine configurations. Demonstrate excellence in applying fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, fluid dynamics, and fatigue analysis using ANSYS. Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to enable technical growth and delivery for customers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college
  • Some experience in designing turbomachinery components
  • Proficiency in English
  • Legal right to work
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts

  • Experience in Steam Turbine component design such as ST steam path or stationary components, design process & procedures
  • Some familiarity with the manufacturing processes such as casting, fabrication, machining, and factory assembly/ testing practices, specifically as applied to power generation equipment
