Job Summary
Bridge Engineer role to design, check, and assess a range of bridges and complex structures, producing engineering design details, analyses, and contract deliverables. Collaborate with CAD/BIM technicians to create 2D/3D drawings and models, perform site visits, and deliver work to a high technical standard with rigorous self-checking. Initially seconded to a major national infrastructure programme (HS2) for ~12 months to gain on-site experience and exposure to multidisciplinary collaboration. Supports ongoing development toward Chartered Engineer status with ICE or IStructE, with opportunities for development plans, mentoring, and professional accreditation.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
- aspire to become Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE or equivalent
- post-graduate experience in a design environment working on bridges, heavy civil, or complex structures
- familiar with UK design standards or Eurocodes
