Job Summary
Engineer I role supporting automation for AbbVie's manufacturing OT systems (DCS/PLC/SCADA/Data Historian) including configuring and programming OT, troubleshooting hardware/software, upgrading system software, and developing qualification protocols for EBR/POMs. Responsible for first-line technical support to Project Engineers, Maintenance, Production and Technical Operations; provide OT systems training; perform OS maintenance, backups, and data migrations; evaluate improvements and monitor equipment performance; may require overtime/night/weekends and adherence to EHS procedures. Requires hands-on experience with DCS (Emerson/DeltaV), POMs/EBR, ladder logic, HMI graphics development, and OS/Data Historian concepts. Degree requirements include a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering and typically 2 years of related experience; Master’s degree with no experience is also noted. Location: Wyandotte, MI (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or related discipline with a minimum of (two) 2 years of relevant experience. Master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline, no experienced is required.
