Job Summary
Ensure availability of automation systems across pharmaceutical production areas, acting as the technical expert to resolve malfunctions in compliance with GMP requirements. Implement automation projects throughout the system life cycle, coordinating stakeholders and managing selected project responsibilities. Act as a subject-matter representative with Production, Maintenance, Equipment Engineering, Qualification, and Quality Assurance while developing design specifications for capital investment projects. Prepare and approve technical documentation, verify compliance with standards and data integrity regulations, and participate in internal and external inspections. This two-year full-time contract at the Ludwigshafen site supports AbbVie's mission to deliver innovative medicines in immunology, oncology, and neuroscience.
Required Qualifications
- Successfully completed a degree in engineering, such as Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechatronics.
- Initial professional experience in electrical engineering, automation, or a related field.
- Experience with PLC programming and visualization systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft client and server operating systems.
- Good command of German and English in an international working environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of machine vision systems, such as Cognex, is desirable.
- Experience designing and implementing automation projects is preferred.
- Initial experience working in a GMP- and pharmaceutical environment is desirable.
