Job Summary
Lead the testing, tuning, and development activities for air suspension systems and controlled damping systems; contribute to the system architecture of air suspension, damper systems, and related chassis components; tune and validate air suspension performance across on-road, off-road, and durability conditions; create detailed test plans, test cases, and reports with KPIs; collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability and production readiness; support virtual development activities (simulation, model-based development) and work with cross-functional teams across chassis DREs, vehicle dynamics, controls, electronics, software, and systems engineering; require a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field and 8+ years of relevant experience; travel as needed for testing and collaboration; location and travel focus in Novi, MI and Charlotte, NC with in-person office requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or closely related field
- 8+ years of experience in air suspension development, controlled damper development, chassis systems, or vehicle dynamics within OEM or Tier-1 environments
- Hands-on experience with on-road and off-road vehicle testing in varied environmental conditions
- Experience with simulation tools (ADAMS, CarSim, MATLAB/Simulink or comparable) and correlation of physical and virtual test results
- Strong communication, teamwork, and cross-functional alignment skills
- Ability to travel as needed for testing and collaboration
