Job Summary

Provide feedback to design engineers during gate review and release processes, then support, simulate, and slice build files for parts using specialized AM software. Author manufacturing process plans including build and post-processing operations while monitoring hardware throughout build steps to ensure manufacturing issues are incorporated into future designs. Collect and record information useful for future builds, analyze dimensional inspection data to determine if changes are needed to part design or build setup, and provide technical guidance on new capital equipment purchases. This Engineer role focuses on implementing new gas turbine engine component part designs and developing process improvements for existing designs within a lean manufacturing cell.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechanical, Computer, Electrical, Materials Science, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or similar technical discipline
  • U.S. Citizenship status
  • The ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
  • The ability to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
  • The ability to work independently
  • The ability to manage multiple projects

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience in engineering/manufacturing, with focus on additive manufacturing
  • An interest in gas turbine engine design and development
  • Self-motivation
  • Proactivity
  • Excellent communication skills
