Job Summary
Engineer responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, utilities, grounds, and equipment, with a focus on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Responsibilities include optimizing repair/maintenance, troubleshooting to resolve problems efficiently, providing hands-on training to other engineering team members, promoting energy conservation and continuous improvement, recording data in building logbooks, conducting utility and equipment tests, ensuring compliance with codes and safety programs, and collaborating with management, tenants, and staff. Requires knowledge of building systems, energy conservation, and fire/life-safety emergency response, plus proficiency with building automation systems and blueprints; must hold relevant Stationary Engineer/HVAC licenses and a refrigerant recovery certification and comply with OSHA ACM requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Highest-level relevant state/local license for Stationary Engineer and/or HVAC
- Universal level refrigerant recovery license
- Computer skills
- Building automation systems experience
- Certification meeting OSHA ACM awareness training requirements
- Experience commensurate with facility
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
