Job Summary
Engineer to join the Ao (Operational Availability) team on the SSNX program. Lead and mentor other engineers, and guide cross-disciplinary teams through Ao design evaluations to improve fleet reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle cost. Engage with shipyards, customers, and stakeholders to gather feedback for design incorporation; lead R&D studies to influence future US Navy submarines; adapt to a fast-paced environment and potentially perform duties outside traditional discipline scope. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and in groups are required; experience with multi-discipline collaboration, data analysis, and SAP/maintenance processes is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 9 years of relevant exempt experience
- Master’s Degree and 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Ph.D. and 4 years of experience
