Job Summary
Cell Culture Applications Engineer III to join the Single-Use & Integrated Systems R&D group. Lead design, execution, analysis, and reporting of application experiments for developing cell culture technologies; compile results into technical presentations for R&D teams; convert data into reports/presentations for non-R&D groups (Marketing, MSAT, Business Development, Senior Management); travel to customer sites to run trials and provide troubleshooting; create customer-facing collateral (applications notes, webinars, user/performance guides); monitor literature to keep test methods and product design relevant; coordinate with internal tools for patent monitoring in perfusion cell culture technologies; balance lab and desk work with effective time management and teamwork. Minimum qualifications include a degree in Chemical/Biological Engineering or related field with 3+ to 5+ years of related experience or a PhD; preferred experience includes perfusion cell culture, cell retention technologies, and TFF. Pay range is $84,900-$127,300, with benefits and potential bonuses. This role does not offer work sponsorship; external applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Location: Bedford, Massachusetts, USA (onsite). Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- 5+ years experience in biological process development, product development, or related life science professional role
- OR Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline with 3+ years experience in related role
- OR PhD in Chemical Engineering, Biological Engineering or related Engineering discipline
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in perfusion cell culture (CHO/mAb), tangential flow filtration, etc.
