Job Summary
Survey the building and repair mechanical, electrical, heating, and plumbing systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards. Perform manual repairs on door locks, window fixtures, and general upkeep including landscaping, caulking, and painting. Execute the ongoing room preventative maintenance program by inspecting property for potential needs and resolving work orders with Housekeeping. Apply working knowledge of carpentry, drywall, and carpet repair while adhering to all company policies. Maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years of related experience
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge, and abilities
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
- General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Significant attention to detail
- Flexible schedule, including but not limited to the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays
