Job Summary
Maintain building systems and building envelope to ensure guest and staff safety; perform preventative maintenance and complete work orders (e.g., replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, patching vinyl) to uphold product quality; inspect electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related equipment for routine repairs; service and monitor the hotel pool (chemicals and filters); maintain exterior curb appeal (snow removal, lawn care, painting); refurbish furniture and fixtures in guest rooms; respond courteously to guest questions and requests; ensure energy efficiency through ongoing improvements; operate heavy machinery as required; adhere to attendance rules and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in building related trades in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Carpentry
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to adapt communication style for different audiences
- Physical ability to lift 25-50 lbs with/without accommodation
- Prior hotel/maintenance experience preferred
