Job Summary
Engine Wiper needed aboard Marella Explorer during dry dock for temporary employment. Responsible for daily maintenance and cleaning of engine spaces and machinery, reporting to the Engineer in charge, and supporting engineers with overhauls, pumps, welding, lathe work, and steelwork. Must hold STCW 95 and Engine Watch Rating A-III/4, have experience on vessels, and be physically/medically fit with strong English communication. Safety compliance and knowledge of engine room procedures are required. Rotation is for a limited period between 31 October and 26 November in Palma de Mallorca.
Required Qualifications
- Valid STCW 95 certification
- Valid Engine Watch Rating certification A-III/4
- Good knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics, operation and maintenance of vessel machinery and mechanical equipment
- Experience with stripping engines down and rebuilding
- Experience on vessels in an equivalent position
- Physically and medically fit
- Moral integrity is required
- Excellent fluent English (verbal, written and technical)
