Engine Room Operator - Mechanic

Operate plant equipment as a Plant Operator - Mechanical in Wärtsilä’s power-plant environment. Monitor operating parameters of engines and auxiliary equipment, identify abnormalities, participate in troubleshooting and corrective maintenance, perform routine maintenance, maintain accurate operational logs, respond to alarms (temperature/pressure), and comply with safety policies to promote a safe, clean plant. Requires 1+ year in mechanical operations/maintenance, strong data interpretation, good troubleshooting and communication skills, ability to follow procedures, and willingness to work shifts including nights and weekends. High school diploma with technical diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) preferred. Hybrid work model with on-site presence within 40 miles of an office (2 days in office per week).
